Nobody leaves Kentucky. And if you do, you go south to Tennessee. The goal of working in NYC was one only dreamers would wish for. I was twenty years old when I decided I was going to take a leap of faith and apply for the Dream Careers Internship Program. Every year at my work, a pumpkin decorating contest is held. The pumpkins are assembled on the front table, and employees vote for two of their favorite. This year, I participated in a more creative way than just carving a scary face.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
This quote runs true and true for everyone, in all walks of life. I believe it is so important to have friends who will love you through the good and bad, lift you up when life is pulling you down, as well as hold you accountable. Your friends are an important part of your being, and nights of interaction and talk are needed. If you’re in need of a girls night, I have a few ideas for you.
While in New York City, the Dream Careers program put together a weekend trip to Washington D.C. It was a whirlwind because we were only there for 24 hours, with a ton to see.
