Anniversary Letters: Month 1 – 4

My sweet momma is the kind who loves to shower you in gifts. And when her only daughter is getting married, a gift was – in her mind – a requirement for every wedding shower. There was one specific gift though, that was over-the-top Pinterest-inspired creativity. With that being said, I feel it needs to be shown to the world to give all of you other Pinterest-inspired gift-givers some ideas.

Sitting on our dining room table to be looked at each time we pass by, lies a memory box {Click the link to buy your own!} Inside of that box are 12 letters, each perfectly wrapped (and taped down for ultimate security). A label states the month on the front of each letter. The directions are as followed:

On the second day of each month following our wedding date, we have a letter to open as a couple, to celebrate another month of being together.

October 2nd, 2017

Our first letter.

Update: Because of our jobs, we didn’t get the chance to open this letter until we were both together at 6pm. By then, we had already had dinner planned and ready to be cooked. So, this gift card is being saved for another day – but soon!
Thanks, momma.

This month is my birthday month. And actually, the 2nd is the day before my birthday, the 3rd. So we kind of figured this month’s card would be somewhat related. Maybe a small birthday gift, or something for Curtis and I to do as a birthday celebration for me. Mom has a sense of humor though!

December 2nd, 2017

Happy three month anniversary to us! 1/4 of our first year married in the books. For the third anniversary gift, mom told us to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Therefore, take a break we must! A gift card to the movies was included.

January 2nd, 2018

A Starbucks gift card. “It’s cold outside, warm up with some coffee!”

February 2nd, 2018

A Kirklands gift card.

Check back next month when we open March’s anniversary letter!
